Anonymous asked: Loki can't win, Kid Loki even said so. And Leah going back in time didn't alter the past, it was always meant to happen. So it won't change Loki, he'll still grow up to be a villain.

Hi,

It’s just an idea that I entertain with because we once have the Serpent being made ‘defeatable’ by Leah’s appearance in its past (and it did grow up to be one of the biggest villains anyway). I think there are many ways this detail may or may not be used in the future for whatever bombs our writer want to throw at us : ).

A Marvel comic about peace time

‘JIM’ is fundamentally a book about peace time, which is a weird thing. Loki has not thrown a single punch in the entire run so far. We’re going on 20 issues, not including tie-in issues, in a Marvel Comic and our main character hasn’t done anything physical against anyone else. That’s amazing and I didn’t even notice it. It was just the very natural way the character went. I even gave him a weapon at certain points, but he just never gets it out,” Gillen said with a laugh. “So yes, we have Loki and he sees some horrible stuff and he’s still sensitive enough to actually respond badly to it. He’s just not hardened to it.”

Full interview with many great explanations here.

I think this is essentially why I really love JiM, already a bit more than X-Factor (just a bit, and X-Factor is kind of peace time too lol). Loki is not naive but still innocence. We have people around who have all kinds of expectations and doubts about him, and he who has yet to fully know himself. The comic is giving Loki a lot of time for development and a lot of development, I guess if Loki is to turn bad again, this fall of his would appear very much everyone’s failure.

Some comments I saw mentioned that maybe Leah would disappear. That’s quite possible and interesting.

And Gillen admitted to lurking extensively on Tumblr. Heh.

Lol I’m already jumping in my seat waiting for JIM 639.
I mean, who can resist Leah? “Excuse Loki. He is a genius of little brain.”
And the cover has damn pretty coloring.

They keep making me fear for kid Loki more and more and more…

And I’m sure he will suffer worse in ‘Everything burn’.

I don’t think they would make him become like old Loki because even though how he’s almost outcast-ed right now is somewhat similar to how old Loki became extremely vicious, there’s just nothing much you can do with that old self. Still, what is going on squeezes my heart ToT.

He grabbed the narration box and torn it into pieces. O_O
A scene in Loki’s nightmare and vision of fear - Thor appears as the the one who judge Loki’s (perceived) guilts.
Unlike later scenes of other fears, in here Loki did not reason to the entity. He was always ready for when his brother would deem him unworthy.
I love what Journey into mystery is giving kid Loki. He depends almost entirely on Thor for affection and in turn is very protective of his brother, in his own way.
